Welcome to an actual sporting event! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? And even if there are no actual games happening tonight, it’s nice to feel like sports is continuing as normal.
The 2020 NFL Draft gets started on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET, and you can watch in a variety of different ways. ABC will have its own broadcast, while ESPN and the NFL Network will be airing the same thing. It’ll also be streaming on WatchESPN and the NFL mobile app (or YouTube TV or Sling TV or fuboTV) if you’re opting to go that route instead.
As a reminder, Thursday’s proceedings will only be the first round, while rounds two and three take place on Friday, and rounds four through seven are on Saturday. We’ll have open threads for each — and will be hyper focused on that last day since that’s where the majority of Syracuse Orange would-be draftees could get selected.
Refreshing your memory, here’s who has the best shot to get picked:
- Alton Robinson, EDGE (rounds 2-4)
- Trishton Jackson, WR (rounds 6-7)
- Kendall Coleman, EDGE (rounds 6-7/undrafted)
- Sterling Hofrichter, P (round 7/undrafted)
Hope you all enjoy this opening round. Given the lack of tech savvy among NFL front offices, odds of videoconference tomfoolery seems high. And for that reason alone, I’ll probably watch.
