Where can you watch ‘classic’ Syracuse games? (week of April 13)

Only a few this week, but we do see an old Big East game (though not one we’re really looking to relive).

Once again, there are no live Syracuse Orange sporting events on television this week, or any week for the foreseeable future. However, with a lot of programming space to fill, many sports networks are showing past games for people to watch instead (or in some cases, just airing terrible H-O-R-S-E games via bad Wi-Fi connections).

Each week — on Monday — we’re highlighting how you can watch the Orange and when. Maybe you’ll enjoy some of these. Others, not so much. And if you’re wondering Syracuse women’s basketball’s upset win over Louisville is, so are we.

(all times ET)

Monday, April 13

Men’s Basketball: Syracuse at Boston College (2014), noon - ACC Network

The two-color uniform set, the end of the 25-game winning streak, losing to BOSTON COLLEGE of all teams... you don’t want to watch this one again, though it makes sense that it would be on any highlight reel for BC athletics. Not much else happening for the Eagles.

Men’s Basketball: Syracuse vs. Louisville (2013), 8 a.m. - ACC Network

Interestingly, they’re allowing Big East games on here, and Louisville opts for the 2013 league title game against the Orange. SU led by 13 at halftime, then was run off the floor in the second half of a 78-61 loss for ‘Cuse. Sadly, a bogus charge call robbed us of another round in this matchup weeks later in the Final Four.

Men’s Basketball: Syracuse at Miami (2020), 5:30 a.m. - ACC Network

This game was the best you could do, Miami?

***

Not much going on this week — however, Syracuse will have its shot at an ACC Network takeover day next week, so we’ll see quite a bit of Orange athletics at that time. Hopefully SU picks some quality games, though based on what I think is the schedule, it appears they’ve avoided Big East games and went with a pretty vanilla slate. Will get into that next Monday, however.
