TNIAAM’s 2020 Beer Bracket reaches its conclusion today after six straight days of voting to decide the best brewery in America.
Friday’s Final Four led to some predictable results for those that have been following: Mortalis, the little engine that could, ran away with its matchup against Side Project to take home one of the more convincing wins all week. Meanwhile, The Veil road East Coast support en route to a relatively pain-free victory over Modern Times.
What happens next now feels inevitable as Avon, NY’s Mortalis and Richmond, Va.’s The Veil face off in Saturday’s championship. South 2-seed The Veil has been clinical in its wins to-date, while taking at least some advantage of top-seeded Jester King getting knocked out in round two. Mortalis, riding a wave of emphatic fan support, has gotten here via the East’s 14-seed and a slew of upsets.
Are these the two best breweries in America? Debatable. Still, the rules are the rules. And if we’re going to acknowledge two of UConn’s tittles despite being a “meh” team during those respective seasons, then we’ll certainly be calling whichever brewery (both of which are far better than “meh”) wins this thing a champion.
Voting goes ‘til 11 p.m. ET this evening.
Mortalis (Avon, NY) vs. The Veil (Richmond, VA)
