The news that the Spring 2020 sports were canceled certainly made most Syracuse Orange fans think about men’s basketball as well as men’s and women’s lacrosse. I thought about the seniors from each spring sport who were watching their careers end abruptly. Those who were hoping for that final couple of months with their teammates preparing for one final run at individual and team success. Athletes who might not get the opportunity to be part of such a team after leaving the Cuse.
Friday afternoon brought about some potentially good news for these athletes.
Per source, NCAA sent a note to membership today saying it believes "it will be appropriate to grant relief for the use of a season for competition for student-athletes who have participated in spring sports."

NCAA will start working on issues tied to this & winter athletes.
There is some hope that the NCAA’s decision to restore the season of eligibility will work out for these athletes. Without full details of the logistics and taking into consideration post-graduation plans already in place there’s a chance that some of the Orange athletes will not return in 2020-21.
In case this happens, we went through the current rosters and pulled the listed Seniors and Graduate Students so we can take a moment to provide a virtual thank-you for their hard work and dedication in representing Syracuse.
