On Wednesday, the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team played North Carolina as coronavirus concerns finally started really impacting U.S. sports.
Early in the day, the NCAA declared that fans would not be in attendance of the upcoming tournament. Elsewhere, the NBA rapidly planned to go forward without fans until Rudy Gobert got diagnosed with coronavirus shortly after Syracuse took the court, triggering the NBA’s suspension of the season.
Even after Syracuse played its best game all season, savoring whatever time it has left as a team with the ACC Tournament pulling the plug on fans before the NBA decision went down. The Orange are scheduled to play Louisville in the quarterfinals at 9 p.m. Along with that game, Bobby and James dug into a new Bourama Sidibe, the downfall of North Carolina after their long-standing dominance over Syracuse and what to expect from the Cardinals.
