Head Coaches: Syracuse - Quentin Hillsman (15th year, 305-160) | Lincoln - Darrell Mosley (fifth year, 81-64)
Opponent Coach Bio: Mosley played basketball at Lincoln and Delaware State University. He started his career at Delaware State, helping guide the team to a conference title and the NIT. After one season, Mosley transferred to Lincoln and was the starting point guard and team captain. Prior to Mosley being named Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Lincoln, he served as an assistant coach on Lincoln’s Men’s Basketball staff for five seasons.
Opponent Last Year: Last season, the Lions set a program-best 23-6 record. They fell in the first round of the CIAA Basketball Tournament. Mosley was named the CIAA Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the WHoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year.
Opponent’s Last Game: Lincoln University opened the season with a 53-38 loss Wednesday to DI George Washington. Senior Joy Morton led the team with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting.
Opponent Player’s to Watch: Lincoln lost 80 percent of its scoring from a season ago, but still have senior guard Bryanna Brown. Brown is the top returning scorer for the Lions after averaging 7.4 points per game in 2019-20.
If Syracuse Wins: Since we’re in one of the most competitive conferences, it’s very important to be undefeated when Atlantic Coast Conference play starts.
If Syracuse Loses: Would be worrisome for Coach Q’s squad, however, they could still recover from it.
