The Syracuse Orange are heading back to action this weekend, hosting the Boston College Eagles. It’s the first time you can enjoy a post-noon kickoff and the Orange will have an uphill battle against a Boston College team that hasn’t looked too bad this season. As always, the depth chart that Coach Dino Babers releases for the squad is more of a snapshot of the past than a vision of the future, but here we are.
Syracuse's depth chart vs. Boston College released - Notably, no OR for Rex and Morgan, Dakota Davis back in the chart. OR for Trill and Aman Greenwood, likely for the nagging injury. pic.twitter.com/Aa7zCSJF8U

Of note, the OR between Jacobian Morgan and Dillon Markewicz has been removed. This mirrored what we’ve seen the last few weeks, with Morgan taking the reps as the number two quarterback the last two weeks. For anyone looking to see the Rex vs. Morgan cage match, you won’t find it on the depth chart, you’ll have to wait to see on Saturday, though I fully expect Rex to start.
Also, the return of Dakota Davis, replacing the injured-but-still-on-the-chart Patrick Davis as the backup guard is a welcome sign. He got a few snaps last week, and will probably work his way back into the rotation as the season progresses, coming off an offseason injury and getting back to game speed.
On defense, Ben Labrosse is listed as the backup at the rover position, replacing the injured Eric Coley. His return from injury comes at a good time, with uncertainty at some of the other safety positions, including Trill Williams having an OR placed between him and Aman Greenwood. That designation is likely from his nagging injury over the past weeks.
