It’s easy to be very pessimistic about the Syracuse Orange especially after the way Saturday’s game against NC State ended. However, there were some positives to take away from the game. One in particular was Trebor Pena’s kickoff return in the first quarter, and for his performance he was named ACC Specialist of the Week.
98 YARDS @PenaTrebor with the Orange's longest kickoff return since 2011.

Pena’s kickoff return was Syracuse’s first since 2011, which is odd when you consider the Orange have had some prolific return men such as Sean Riley during that timeframe. He’s been the backup return man to Nykeim Johnson the entire season and return another kick against the Wolfpack for 17 yards. The freshman has seven returns on the year for 225 yards.
Congratulations to Trebor! Syracuse appears to be in solid hands in the return game when Johnson graduates.
