Freshly squeezed from the sub-basement level of TNIAAM HQ it’s the internet’s most ridiculous college football preview series- #FakeNunes. We like to look for the silver lining when it comes to Syracuse Orange football so we’re happy to report that the Orange have as many wins this Fall as James Franklin and Trump’s legal team combined
Now onto this week’s game...
Opponent: NC State Wolfpack
Location: Raleigh, N.C.
Students: 36,304 students who would transfer to UNC or Duke in a heartbeat
The 2020 Fake Nunes Statistical Index (#FNSI)
We continue to look to innovate our analytics model so we here’s what the lab cooked up for this season.
Uniforms:
Syracuse
It’s Senior Day and even without families or fans in the stands I’d expect we see the traditional home uniform for the Orange.
Much like Louisville last week who knows what you’ll get from NC State but this is their typical road look.
Advantage: Syracuse
The distance traveled
Something new for this year is to dig through each roster and find the player from the furthest distance from the school. Not their hometown but where they played previous to enrollment. How is that relevant to a game prediction? Can you think of a better measure of “want-to” than measuring how far a player travels? For Syracuse the player is Maximilian Mang from Nuthetal. Germany (3,930 miles) while NC State’s furthest traveler is Ben Finley from Phoenix, Arizona (2,174 miles).
Advantage: Syracuse
Football Program Hashtag:
None vs #1Pack1Goal
Not the worst we’ve seen all year and maybe after the bad luck of this season Syracuse will make the effort in 2021 to do something.
Advantage: NC State
Alumni Wrestling Connection
Sylvester Terkay was a 4-time ACC Champion wrestler at NC State and he went on to have brief stint in the WWE. That certainly doesn’t compare to the long run from Mike Rotunda
Advantage: Syracuse
The Official #FakeNunes Game Prediction:
Look we know the Orange are going to find themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard but let’s just find a way to see some scoring this week shall we? NC State takes this one 33-11.
