Orange in the NFL: How’d former Syracuse stars do in Week 7 of the 2020 season?

Special Teams U continues to carry the Pro Oranges.

NFL: New York Giants-Blue & White Scrimmage Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

With the Syracuse Orange win, football of all forms becomes slightly more enjoyable at all levels. With 7 former Orange stars on active rosters (and more on practice squads), our Orange in the NFL recaps are filling out nicely. (All stats from NFL.com)

Justin Pugh, Arizona Cardinals

Pugh started in the crazy Sunday night win over the Seahawks, playing 100% of the snaps for the second week in a row.

Alton Robinson, Seattle Seahawks

On the other side of the ball, Alton Robinson only made it on the field for 7 snaps, but did log a tackle.

Riley Dixon, New York Giants

The Giants dropped another game, this time to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Dixon logged a season high 6 punts in the contest. He averaged 44.2 yards, with a long of 56. Half of the kicks were fair caught and pinned the Eagles inside their own 20.

Zaire Franklin, Indianapolis Colts

The Colts were on their bye week.

Sterling Hofrichter, Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons blew yet another 4th quarter lead, this time to the Detroit Lions. Hof punted 4 times, averaging 45 yards per kick with two of his kicks fair caught.

Trishton Jackson, Los Angeles Rams

Jackson was inactive for the Rams win over the Chicago Bears.

Doug Marrone, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars lost to the Chargers, dropping them to just 1-6 setting some terrible records along the way, this week tying the NFL record for most consecutive weeks allowing 30+ points (6). This has prompted Doug Marrone to address his hot seat, which is never a good sign.

Out for the Season with Injury

Chandler Jones, Arizona Cardinals

Glad to see some solid names getting some run in the newest NFL season.
