While we’re all very focused on the Syracuse Orange’s matchup against the Clemson Tigers this weekend, there are still plenty more games left on the schedule, win or lose. One of those is SU’s home date with the Western Michigan Broncos on Saturday, September 21. We now know that will air at noon ET on ACC Network.
The ACC Network’s been picked up by a lot of service providers, though there are still a couple big holdouts like Comcast and AT&T U-Verse (plus the legacy Time Warner Cable subscribers). So though a lot of us should be able to watch this one on TV/streaming, at least a few are unfortunately likely to miss this one unless they go elsewhere to watch.
As you’ll recall, Syracuse beat WMU on the road to start 2018, winning a wild 55-42 game that set the tone for the rest of the season on offense. This is the second meeting all-time in that series, with two more on the schedule after this onein 2020 and 2023.
Western Michigan is currently 1-1. The Broncos beat Monmouth to star the year, but lost to Michigan State 51-17 this past Saturday. They’ll host Georgia State this Saturday — a potentially plucky opponent considering the Panthers beat Tennessee in week one.
