The Syracuse Orange got lit up by Maryland Saturday, and anytime an unranked team defeats a ranked team, people notice. Any time they do so by 43 points, most people notice, including those who vote in polls.
The Orange completely fell out of the Amway Coaches Poll, and dropped out of the Top 25 of the AP Poll, however there they received two votes, so yay? Maryland climbed all the way to 21st in the AP Poll, and cracked the Coaches Poll at 25th. Syracuse’s next opponent, Clemson, remained in the number 1 slot in both polls, and is the only currently ranked future Orange opponent.
Blah.
