Syracuse wearing orange helmets, blue jerseys and pants vs. Holy Cross

The Syracuse Orange are trying to check off as many different uniform combinations as possible this season with the new duds, and this weekend marks another first-time look in 2019.

SU will look decidedly more blue against the Holy Cross Crusaders, wearing orange helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants. As mentioned, it’s the first time they’re wearing this combo in 2019. And actually the first time they’re wearing it at all since a 2014 loss to Florida State.

Syracuse is 1-1 wearing orange helmets as part of this uniform set. They’re also 0-1 in blue jerseys and this is the first time we’re seeing the blue pants this season.

How do you feel about the bluer look, though? Personally feel like it looks fine — just also doesn’t look as much like Syracuse as it does look like Illinois. There’s probably a reason we haven’t worn this combo since 2014, and that may be it. In reality, probably just should’ve worn more orange.
