The No. 22 Syracuse Orange head to College Park, Md. to take on the Maryland Terrapins on September 7. Going into this weekend, we knew that ‘Cuse would have some kind of nationally televised game on an ESPN network. Now, we know the Orange’s trip to Maryland will be available across the country on ESPN for the noon ET kickoff.
This will be the Orange’s first national televised game of the year, and first nooner of season too after starting at 6 p.m. ET vs. Liberty. Syracuse also opens as a 4-point road favorite over the Terps.
Syracuse opens as a four-point favorite at Maryland next week. Win and it’s likely ESPN GameDay time.

I’m sure plenty of fans on both sides will point out that it’s interesting that ‘Cuse is still a road favorite after Maryland hung 79 points in their home opener. The other side will mention that FCS-level Howard is not all that great.
Regardless of how you feel about the Orange’s season opening win, it’s still something that SU will be ranked, on ESPN, and a favorite on the road. So thankfully not another streaming-only date following Saturday’s adventure with Liberty’s homeriffic announcing crew.
