Chris Carlson drops the Orange two spots to 10th in his ACC Power Rankings this week moving them behind the Miami-Florida Hurricanes.

“The defense looked better against Clemson than it did against Maryland, so there’s room for some optimism going forward. The offense is going to have to figure things out quickly. Only Akron has surrendered more sacks than Syracuse’s 14 this season. The Orange is also averaging just 2.4 yards per carry.”

CBS Sports’ 1-130 drops Syracuse to 56th this week between the Houston Cougars and the N.C. State Wolfpack. Western Michigan checks in at 70th in the CBS rankings.

The Athletic drops the Orange from 42nd to 66th in their Top 130 Power Rankings in between the Marshall Thundering Herd and Nevada Wolf Pack. Western Michigan is ranked 79th this week.
