(Just as a sidenote before we start this one, it’s the last “Get to Know” post of the offseason. While there are a couple stragglers still, they’ve yet to be added to the official roster so we won’t be including. Thanks as always for reading this series. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed as much as we have.)
Name: Aman Greenwood
Position: Safety
Year: Freshman
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 180 pounds
Hometown: Washington, D.C.
High School: St. John’s College High School
2018 stats: He had 75 tackles and two interceptions, helping lead St. John’s to a 9-1 record and a 2018 WCAC Capital playoff berth.
2019 projections: Lots of talent on the backend of the defense, paving the way for a redshirt season to cap things off — however his physicality could earn him some time on the field for special teams.
How’d he get here?: Greenwood chose ‘Cuse over Power Five schools like Michigan, Missouri, Boston College, Pitt and North Carolina.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars all around
Money quote: We’ll see if he’s able to play right away. But strong endorsement on both sides here.
“I picked ‘Cuse because it was the perfect fit for me socially, and on the field. Early playing time was key to my decision and I knew I could go in and play right away as long as I held up my end of the bargain.”

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: While it might not be spelled the same way, a nickname like Smurph won’t stop Babers from suggesting all three Smurf movies.
Interesting nugget o’ interest: Aman isn’t the only St. John’s College alum on the Orange roster. Defensive end Caleb Okechukwu arrived a year earlier as part of the class of 2018.
Let’s get a good look at ya: Aman clearly always uses the hit-stick on Madden
