2018 stats: At Connecticut’s Kent School, Clifton ran for 106 yards on 25 carries, with one touchdown (all in one game). MaxPreps stats are weird, but this is what we have available. He had 1,215 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior at Ensworth.

2019 projections: It seems likely that he’ll get a redshirt, but he may be good enough to potentially work his way into the running back conversation (or at least playing special teams) down the road.

How’d he get here?: Picked the Syracuse Orange back in February, who offered him as a preferred walk-on.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Was the 77th-best recruit in Tennessee back in 2018, but no stars at the time.
