Okay deep-cut Syracuse men’s basketball fans, it’s your time to shine. We’re here with extended coverage of SU as this lean, green, zone machine continues its run through Italy.
In case you aren’t aware, Syracuse basketball is working their way across Italy with a four-game “series” against several semi-pro Italian basketball teams. On Monday, they played All-Stars Varese and were able to pull off a 69-59 victory.

Next, they face off against Oxygen Bassano at 1 p.m. today. They also have games on Saturday and Sunday. So what do we know about Oxygen Bassano? I mean, they’ve got a pretty cool name, right?
Oxygen. Bassano.
Beyond that? Minimal insights.
And what do we know about this year’s Syracuse basketball team? Oddly, not much more than we know about the Italians. This is a young group that is looking for veteran leadership amongst a sea of fresh faces.
Who will fill the void of a Tyus Battle-less backcourt? Can anyone truly replace Paschal Chukwu? I guess we’ll find out soon!
Before things get going, some reading for you to peruse:

If this game’s stream is anything close to as bad as the last game, we might struggle to have follow-up coverage, but we’ll try our best. Personally, I’m at work and unable to watch, so I’m relying on all of you to keep me posted. Thanks for not blocking nunesmagician.com, job!
