Money quote: Sam’s HS coach had this to say about him as he was preparing to take over the starting QB role

“He’s a very coachable kid,” third-year coach Allen Talley said of Warren. “He wants to learn and he wants to work. A lot of the younger guys actually want to work pretty hard, but Sam has really worked hard this summer, worked hard in practice to try to get better every single day, and he’s been doing that.”

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?:

The recommendation is “The Conjuring” one of the many movies based around the work of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The movie stars Syracuse alum Vera Farmiga as Lorraine Warren and focuses on the Warren’s attempts to help a Rhode Island family exorcize the witch Bathsheba. This is relevant as Syracuse is trying to exorcize the witch Dabosheba this season.

Interesting nugget o’ interest: Sam was a member of Redwood’s MCAL Championship baseball team.
