Get to Know Your Orange Man:#37 DB Kevin Nusdeo

From Orange to Orange

NCAA Football: Syracuse at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Kevin Nusdeo

Position: Defensive back

Year: (Redshirt) Sophomore

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 197

Hometown: Orange, Conn.

High school: Choate Rosemary Hall

2018 stats: Did not see any game action.

2019 projection: Most of Kevin’s contributions will likely come as a member of the scout team.

How’d he get here?: Nusdeo chose to walk on for the Syracuse Orange over other preferred walk-on offers from schools like UConn and North Carolina and some D2 and D3 offers.

What did recruiting sites say?: Wasn’t listed because he was crushing dingers instead of showing up at spring recruiting camps.

Money quote: Ohana isn’t just a catchphrase for the Syracuse staff. Even the walk-ons sense the family atmosphere (per Nusdeo’s conversation with

“I loved everything about the visit. I could tell that the staff is extremely dedicated to all their players and I loved how tight knit the Syracuse community was.”

Tweets of wonder: Kevin’s account is mostly retweets so we’ll go with this one

What movie would Dino recommend for him: There aren’t many movie characters who demonstrate the mental and physical skills of Kevin McAllister. Dino’s going to suggest the entire “Home Alone” series but with a caveat that no violently comedic traps are deployed in the locker room.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Kevin was a high school teammate of Boston College Eagles kicker John Tessitore who is the son of Joe Tessitore of “Holey Moley” fame....oh yeah Joe Tessitore’s also the voice of Monday Night Football if that’s your thing.

Let’s get a good look at ya:
