The Syracuse Orange’s 11-man recruiting class has added another member, as Canadian safety Ben LaBrosse has pledged to the Orange after today’s camp. LaBrosse is a rising senior at Vanier College in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Prior to the camp, LaBrosse had visited campus back in April, and was comfortable enough to give his verbal commitment on the same day he received his offer. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound rising senior is unrated by the major recruiting services.
LaBrosse becomes the 12th member of the 2020 class, and the third defensive back in the group, joining a pair of three-star safeties in Charles Bell (MD) and Robert Hanna (FL).
LaBrosse also held offers from Buffalo, Central Michigan and Massachusetts. Offensive coordinator/running backs coach Mike Lynch was the main recruiter for LaBrosse.
For the third time in two years, the Orange have added a player from Quebec, as LaBrosse joins freshmen Matthew Bergeron and Geoff Cantin-Arku, who are set to begin their first seasons with Syracuse.
