How to watch Syracuse basketball play in Italy

We would also like to watch Jim Boeheim order chicken parmesan for ten straight evenings.

A majority of the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team has already arrived on campus at SU for the second summer session in order to get a jump on schoolwork practice for its upcoming tour in Italy. As many of you already know, the team will depart for the boot-shaped land on August 10 to compete in four exhibition games and circle back to Syracuse on August 20.

With that, we have good news and we have bad news via SUA.

The good news? Streaming will be available via FloHoops.

The bad news? You’ll have to sign up for another one-off subscription if you’re not already a member. (See also, bad news: John mistimed this trip by one year).

A one month FloHoops subscription won’t burn a hole in your pocket, but it will run you $29.99. For NYC area folk who are disinterested in buying a subscription, East End Bar & Grill on the Upper East Side will stream all four games.

For the other parts of this passionate fan base that plan on attending games in-person, I was told that tickets will be available for sale at the door. Game schedule is listed below:

Monday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m:

Syracuse vs. Italian Select Team All-Stars Varese

Location: Palasport Mario Porta via Nino Bixio

Wednesday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m:

Syracuse vs. Italian Select Team Oxygen Bassano

Location: Palazzetto Dello Sport via Goldoni 12

Saturday, August 17 at 12:00 p.m:

Syracuse vs. Summer Select Team

Location: Palaestra Viale Achille Sclavo

Sunday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m:

Syracuse vs. Italian Select Team Virtus Roma

Location: Palatellene via Aldo Fabrizi

Will you be buying a subscription to watch Syracuse play? Should Jim Boeheim have a documentary crew follow him around in Italy for ACCN content? Any other general thoughts about the team before the tour? Drop a comment below and join in on the discussion.
