Name: Scoop Bradshaw
Position: Defensive back
Hometown: Tampa, Fla.
High School: Plant
2018 Stats: Started 10 contests and played in all 13 last season for the Syracuse Orange. Scoop 27 tackles, a tackle for loss and one pass break-up on the year. He also makes an impact on special teams.
2019 projections: After spending much of his Orange career as a starting corner, Bradshaw is now listed as a backup to Christopher Fredrick on the preseason depth chart. Despite this, he will probably still see the field plenty his senior season in a contributing role.
How’d he get here?: Syracuse was Bradshaw’s only offer. Sure enough, he pounced at the opportunity and committed before his senior year of high school.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars.
Tweets of wonder: The always creative Sean Keeley, hard at work...
"Old Scoop, they say, he grew fat on their blood out there. And he slept for many years. But now he's back. And he's hungry. And so, Old Scoop Bradshaw stalks those woods once more looking for his next victim. They say if you see him, you can run, but it's already too late." pic.twitter.com/kHHSxv0Fb1— Sean Keeley (@SeanKeeleyIsMe) October 26, 2018
What movie would Dino recommend for him: I’m sure he’d be happy with the 1987 TV movie “Scoop,” involving a young columnist mistakenly sent to cover a war.
Interesting nugget o’interest: He attended Plant High School alongside Orange teammate and cancer survivor Rex Culpepper, playing on a squad that must have been pretty tough to topple.
Let’s get a good look at you: For the second year in a row, here’s Scoop previewing a matchup with Wake Forest.
