Name: Lee Kpogba
Position: Linebacker
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 220
Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC
High School: Parkland
2018 stats: Arrived on campus in January
2019 projections: Kpogba wasn’t on the two-deep released this week but he’s in line to see immediate playing time this year.
How’d he get here?: He had numerous P5 offers including Florida State, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee but after a verbal commitment to the West Virginia Mountaineers Lee chose to instead suit up for the Syracuse Orange
Money quote: After reopening his commitment Lee felt that his relationship with Syracuse coach Steve Stanard helped him decide to head to New York
“Coach Stanard had seen that (Kpogba decommitted) and texted me,” Kpogba said. “He was already constantly texting me because they were showing me that I really felt wanted at Syracuse, and I just felt like I could be successful there.”
What’d recruiting sites say?: Four stars from Rivals. Three stars from 247 and ESPN.
Twitterfeed: @kashhh_2timezz
Tweets of wonder: Mostly retweets on Lee’s account but here’s a good one

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: We’re going with “The Way of the Dragon” where Bruce Lee comes to the aid of his relatives because it’s indicative of Dino’s Ohana/La Familia philosophy
Interesting nugget o’interest: Lee was born in Ghana. At the 2016 Summer Olympics Syracuse alum Flings Owusu-Agyapong was the flag bearer for Ghana.
Let’s get a good look at ya: Here’s what the Syracuse coaches had to say on Signing Day
