Name: Adrian Cole
Position: Defensive Back
Year: Freshman
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 165 pounds
Hometown: Plantation, Fla.
High School: Plantation High School
2018 stats: Thirty-five tackles, 10 pass-breakups, six interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble and a touchdown.
2019 projections: The way the field is set it looks like Cole may not get a ton of playing time early on with the potential of a redshirt season on the horizon. Injuries could change that, however, and we could see him get some playing time as a slot or nickel corner if needed.
How’d he get here?: Cole chose to head up nothing despite in-state offers from Florida Atlantic and FUI, along with additional offers from Massachusetts, Kansas and Marshall.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three-star recruit, 196th-ranked cornerback in the 2019 class.
Money Quote: Cole talked to the SunSentinel on Syracuse’s potential run at the College Football Playoffs next season.
“We really feel like we can be in that situation next year,” Cole said. “All we had to do is beat Clemson, and we could’ve been there. We played Notre Dame, our quarterback ended up being hurt … But we’ve got better things in store.”
Twitter feed: Cole had one at the time of his commitment, but that account has been deleted since then.
Tweets of wonder: That’s some impressive athleticism...

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Rocky II. Can’t you already hear coach Babers screaming across the field, “Yo Adrian!”
Interesting nugget o’interest: Cole wasted no time when it came to hitting the books and was named to the Spring 2019 SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Let’s get a look at ya: Roll those high school highlights!
