Syracuse and Penn state offered Team Melo 6'4 2022 Chance Westry today— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) July 13, 2019
Jim Boeheim, Gerry McNamara and Allen Griffin have been down in North Augusta, S.C., for Nike’s Peach Jam tournament this weekend and have also watched 2020 target Andre Jackson and 2020 commit Woody Newton.
As for the 2022 recruits, Johnson is a 6-foot-1 guard from Saugerties, N.Y., and is considered one of the best players in the 2022 class. He runs with Bronny James and Strive For Greatness on the AAU circuit and is a former Albany City Rocks kid. Johnson holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Memphis, St. John’s and TCU.
Westry is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Harrisburg, PA. He runs with Team Melo in AAU and holds offers from DePaul, Florida, Georgetown, Michigan, Penn State, Providence and VCU.
Keep in mind that the NBA could repeal the one-and-done rule by 2022. See highlights from both recruits below.
