Name: Allen Stritzinger
Position: Cornerback
Year: Junior
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 196
Hometown: Detroit, Mich.
High School: De La Salle
2018 stats: Stritzinger appeared in nine games for the Syracuse Orange, mostly at cornerback but with some action on special teams. He started as a nickel defensive back versus West Virginia, and snagged his first career interception.
2019 projections: He’s listed behind Trill Williams at the nickel position, and will probably see the field a bunch for rotations and injuries. Should he continue to improve and he should line himself up to be a key starter in 2020.
How’d he get here?: He had offers from 13 schools, with an unofficial offer from Michigan, but always had Syracuse as number one.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars from everyone except ESPN, who was wrong and gave him two.
Twitter feed: @Stay_Winnin_
Tweets of wonder: He and Marek probably hang out a bunch.

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Karen Allen starred alongside Indiana Jones in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, which shouldn’t need much of an introduction here. Allen played Marion, a role she’d later reprise in 2008’s unfortunate Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Just skip that second movie and watch Raiders twice instead.
Interesting nugget o’interest: Originally recruited as a combo running back/defensive back, he came to ‘Cuse primarily as a running back. So the fact that he’s contributing this much as a defensive back is all the more impressive.
Let’s get a look at ya: Here’s that INT for ya.
