Name: Curtis Harper
Position: Defensive tackle
Year: (Redshirt) Sophomore
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 310 lbs.
Hometown: McKeesport, Pa
High School: McKeesport
2018 Stats: Only played in one game after redshirting his first year on campus. Picked up just one tackle in that lone appearance against Wagner.
2019 Projections: The two-deep is pretty set at interior defensive line and Harper didn’t make it in the spring. It seems likely he’ll be more of a backup option, though that’s not to say he won’t be called upon at some point if someone goes down.
How’d He Get Here?: Harper chose the extreme cold of Syracuse over the mild cold of Maryland, UConn, Iowa State and Bowling Green.
What’d Recruiting Sites Say?: Three stars everywhere
Twitterfeed: @C_HarperIII
Tweets of wonder: Curtis has some takes on Pittsburgh softball’s curious superstition against SU.

What movie would Dino Babers recommend?: He’d recommend Paul Newman’s 1966 classic “Harper”, because nothing screams Syracuse like a private eye exposing the powerful.
Interesting nugget o’interest: Harper is related to 2012 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Curtis Martin, who played running back in the NFL for 11 seasons for the Patriots and Jets.
Let’s get a good look at ya: Some good ol’ high school highlights.
