Williams, who attends Athens Academy (in Georgia), is rated as a 5-star prospect according to Kohl’s Kicking, the premier kicking camp in America. Kohl’s lists Williams as the second-best punter in the 2020 cycle.
In addition to Syracuse, Air Force, Army and Hawaii extended offers to Williams, but he also visited Virginia Tech, Virginia, and Alabama recently.

Williams appears to be the heir apparent to Sterling Hofrichter, who is entering his redshirt senior year this fall. Nolan Cooney and Noah Nwosu are the only other punters on the roster right now, though Hof’s the only one of them on scholarship.
With the addition of Williams, Syracuse’s 2020 class now stands at seven players, including four commits in the past week. Prospects can sign their National Letter of Intent from December 18-20 or after February 6, 2020.
