The Syracuse Orange football schedule is coming together. After learning about three primetime games earlier this spring, the Orange have learned the times of two more games this fall.

The Orange will play the Liberty Flames on Saturday night, and the first (and only) ESPN+ game of the season. There were already reasons some fans don’t love that Dino Babers and Co. are headed to Virginia to play the Flames, and the ESPN+ angle adds another wrinkle. I have an ESPN+ subscription for soccer, but there hasn’t been another sport I’ve needed to watch on their mini paywall.
While ‘Cuse doesn’t get a primetime option versus Maryland, they do get either ESPN or ESPN2 national exposure. The game vs the Terrapins will be the first nooner of the Orange season.
These are two big road tests for the Orange, and for fans, games we may have been overlooking to an extent. These are two must win games if there’s any hope that ESPN’s College GameDay will come to campus.
