Ryan Blackwell, Eric Devendorf, Brandon Triche return to Boeheim’s Army for 2019

Blackwell returns to coach, while Devo and Triche headline the backcourt, and presumably top of the 2-3 zone, for Boeheim’s Army in 2019.

Former Syracuse Orange basketball guards Eric Devendorf and Brandon Triche will return to compete with Boeheim’s Army this summer, as reported by Syracuse.com. The additions of the two guards bring the roster total to three now following the announcement of Chris McCullough’s addition on Tuesday.

While McCullough will be making his TBT inauguration this summer, Boehiem’s Army returns a pair of mainstays in Devendorf and Triche. The former has been on every Boeheim’s Army team since TBT’s inception in 2015. This marks the fourth summer in the event for Triche.

Devendorf is coming off his first season as special assistant to Mike Davis at Detroit. This of course follows his two year stint as assistant strength coach at Syracuse. Triche meanwhile has been tearing it up in Italy, earning MVP honors and helping his team advance in the Italian A2 basketball league.

Also included in today’s announcement was the return of coach Ryan Blackwell. The former Orange forward has coached Boeheim’s Army in each of the last three years, leading the group of Syracuse players to TBT’s Final Four in 2017. Blackwell currently coaches at Liverpool High School in Syracuse, where he lead his team to a 26-0 record on the way to a sectional and state title in 2018.

Syracuse will host the TBT regional this summer at the SRC at Onondaga Community College — getting in front of a home crowd for games from July 26-28. For those looking to attend, tickets are on sale now.
