There’s still a Syracuse Orange basketball team in the NCAA Tournament, for those feeling like they’re missing out on March Madness right now. The women’s team tips off on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET from the Carrier Dome in their first round matchup with the Atlantic-10’s Fordham Rams.
SU comes in as a No. 3 seed with a 24-8 record (10-3 at home), while 14-seed Fordham went 25-8 and needed to win the conference tournament to make it to the NCAAs.
Here’s everything you’ll need to know about the game in advance. If you’re not at the Dome, you can catch the action on ESPN2 or WatchESPN. Does Syracuse have a shot to make this year’s Final Four? TNIAAM weighs in on how far the Orange can go in the bracket, and who ends up winning each region. Assuming SU wins two games at the Dome, they’ll head out West to Portland, Ore. There, they’ll likely face the No. 2-seeded Oregon Ducks, who basically get four straight home games in this tournament if they make it to the Elite 8.
Syracuse and Oregon faced one another back in November, with the Ducks winning 75-73 in Eugene.
