NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament-Duke vs Syracuse Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

While the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team has remained idle for the last two days, there’s been plenty of movement around them in college basketball. It’s been an especially chaotic championship week, and some of those games have moved teams both above and below the Orange around considerably.

There are still a few more games to play on Sunday. But here’s where experts see Syracuse seeded as of right now, in our final bracketology update before the entire bracket is revealed later.

8-seed

ESPN: West Region, vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers

Fox Sports: South Region, vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Sports Illustrated: West Region, vs. Utah State Aggies

I’d take Minnesota over Iowa. And Utah State’s increasingly concerning as the sort of plucky, maybe underestimated team that can come out on fire in the tournament. Either way, sets up a tough second round matchup with a 1-seed.

9-seed

The Athletic: West Region, vs. Utah State

CBS Sports: West Region, vs. Utah State

SB Nation: Midwest Region, vs. Minnesota

TeamRankings.com: West Region, vs. Wofford Terriers

Bracket Matrix*: West Region, vs. UCF Knights (Bracket Matrix is an average of all bracket predictions

More Utah State, but also a lot of West region. Wofford’s also concerning. I’ll take UCF, however. And give me Rick Barnes in the second round (Tennessee would be the top seed in that SB Nation Midwest Region).

10-seed

Stadium: East Region, vs. Maryland Terrapins

USA Today: South Region, vs. Wofford

Washington Post: Midwest Region, vs. Cincinnati Bearcats

More Wofford. But PLEASE give me USA Today’s pick, which puts Syracuse opposite a Maryland team that no one should trust.

Thoughts? Seems a pretty even split between 8/9/10. Would probably rather the 10, especially if it means facing the Terps.
