After a two-game slide in New York City last week, the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team returns home to host the Iowa Hawkeyes in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The game will tip momentarily from the Carrier Dome and will air on ESPN2. Bob Wischusen is on the call and Jon Crispin is the color commentator.
The ACC/Big Ten Challenge is currently tied up 1-1 after Miami won at Illinois last night, while Clemson fell on the road at Minnesota, a special place.
As for this matchup specifically, both teams are coming off a loss as Iowa fell to San Diego State last Friday. Syracuse is favored in this one by 4.5 points, according to Vegas, and the over/under set at 144.5.
This series is led by the Hawkeyes 2-1 all-time, including a Lute Olsen coached win over Syracuse in the 1980 Sweet 16. The Orange won the last meeting in 2014 at Madison Square Garden. Jim Boeheim is 1-0 all-time against Fran McCaffery.
