Welcome to college football’s early signing period! Despite the disappointment on the field this fall the Syracuse Orange are hoping to add key components to get back to bowl eligibility in 2020. As each player signs, we’ll be posting profiles here on TNIAAM. Next up is athlete/wideout Trebor Pena

Position: Athlete/wide receiver

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 180 lbs.

Commitment date: November 22, 2019

Ratings: Mostly three stars, but Rivals stinks and gave him 2.

Other offers: Other schools interested included Navy, Army, Temple and Kent State.

Dino’s predicted nickname: A Jersey boy catching passes from another Jersey boy? You better bet there’s a Four Seasons reference coming.

Highlights:

Player outlook: The Orange are pretty stacked at receiver, so I don’t think Trebor sees the field much his freshman year. That being said, the new redshirt rule does allow us to see some faces a few times, and Pena has the size and make up of a traditional slot receiver the Orange lacked this year. An impressive camp could lead to 4 games of a shot there plus some special teams work, before settling into those roles long term.
