Arguably the Orange’s top recruit for this cycle could be an immediate difference-maker on defense.

Welcome to college football’s early signing period! Despite the disappointment on the field this fall the Syracuse Orange are hoping to add key components to get back to bowl eligibility in 2020. As each player signs, we’ll be posting profiles here on TNIAAM. Next up is defensive lineman Latarie Kinsler.

Hometown: Pahokee, Fla.

High School: Pahokee

Position: Defensive End

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 204 lbs.

Commitment date: November 2, 2019

Ratings: Three stars from everyone.

Other offers: Lots of fun schools like Penn State, USC, Miami, Washington, Oregon and LSU. So yeah, nice list.

Dino’s predicted nickname: Boring, but Junior works because he’s a Jr, but also because he’s gonna be stepping into some mighty big shoes.

Highlights:

Player outlook: Defensive end is a big hole for the Orange next year with the departures of Kendall Coleman and Alton Robinson. Under Babers, the Orange have not been shy to thrust promising freshman into the rotation from the get go, with Andre Cisco and Mikel Jones being the most prominent examples. It sure seems like there’s been some promises made to this extent, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting plenty of snaps by ACC play.
