The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team heads home looking to build some momentum as they head into 2020
Opponent: Oakland Golden Grizzlies
Location: Rochester, Michigan
Students: 19,013 students- 36% of whom thought they were applying to a school in Rochester, NY
The 2019-20 Fake Nunes Equation of Tumult (#FNET)
You wanted something more ridiculous than RPI and the NCAA gave you NET. We give you more ridiculousness so we bring back the FNET metric.
Head Coach Bench Attire:
Greg Kampe does his homework because look how he was dressed last time Oakland came to The Dome.
Jim Boeheim’s coming back this week with his grey sports coat and dark pants.
Advantage: Oakland because when it comes down to it we also give the nod to #TeamNoTie
NBA 2K Playability:
Xavier Hill-Mais leads Oakland in scoring and rebounding but he’s not much of a perimeter threat. Elijah Hughes and Buddy Boeheim appear to be taking turns having one half where they launch a barrage of deep shots.
Advantage: Syracuse because you’ll annoy your opponent when you don’t miss from 3
Basketball Program Hashtag:
None vs #WEARtheBEAR
Ok we’re confused here. If you’re encouraging people to wear the bear are you implying they kill and skin your mascot? That’s just a strange way to engage your fans....
Advantage: Syracuse but we expect a #PEELtheORANGE coming in 2020
ACC Social Media Favorites:
Hill-Mais and Madison Monroe (what a name) are both Carolina natives so no chance Syracuse wins this one.
Boeheim Jacket Toss Meter
9.2/10 We crunched the analytics on this one and with Syracuse at home and favored to win we are on high alert for the first jacket toss of December.
Wrestling Theme Song for this game
An opponent from Michigan is a good opportunity for The Steiner Brothers. Let’s hope that Oakland’s not bringing the big bad booty daddy with them on Wednesday evening.
Syracuse has to win this game. It might not be pretty for the first half but look for the Orange’s outside shooting to finally put the game away midway through the second half.
We’re even going to predict that we get two Robert Braswell dunks before the night is over.
