With just over a minute left in the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team’s win over the Cornell Big Red, Elijah Hughes converted a three-point play with a layup and free throw, putting the Orange up 70-53 and bringing SU fans their third Taco Time of the season.
Ticketholders from the game will be able to enjoy a free taco at any participating Taco Bell restaurant.

Syracuse is now 3-1 against the taco spread (ATTS) in four regular season games this year. Joe Girard III and Jesse Edwards have also scored Taco Time for SU fans. The Virginia game — which we don’t speak of and never will again — failed to hit the mark, unfortunately.
Up next for the Orange is Bucknell, a team that’s allowing an average of more than 76 points per game this season, so another free taco could very well be in the cards comes Saturday. The Bison most recently allowed 98 in a loss to Penn State, so you certainly have to like our odds.
