With eight-and-a-half minutes remaining in Saturday night’s win against Seattle, Syracuse Orange men’s basketball guard Joe Girard III dribbled around a screen by Bourama Sidibe. He moved to the top of the three-point arc, shuffled in front of it, and then quickly stepped back behind the line and launched a shot over his defender.
The ball banked in the basket, putting the Orange up 71-56 with 8:18 left in the game. The shot gave Girard III his fifth three-pointer in six attempts and his final points in a game in which he scored 24.
It also unlocked the second Taco Time of the season. Ticket holders from the game will be able to enjoy a free taco at any participating Taco Bell restaurant.
When you're hot, you're hot. JG3 banks one in from straight away to get Syracuse to 71 points.
