Each week, we’ll take a look at what other college football media sites are saying about the Syracuse Orange. Let’s see what things look like after the bye.

In this week’s SP+ rankings Syracuse stays in the 65th spot with the offense up a spot to 71st while the defense holds at 65th. The NC State Wolf Pack are 58th this week.

The Football Power Index has Syracuse ranked 68th between the Air Force Falcons and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

Chris Carlson keeps Syracuse eighth in his ACC Power Rankings this week placing them just ahead of this week’s opponent NC State

“I think Dino Babers and the Orange offense is the best bet of that bunch to show some improvement and produce a somewhat well-rounded team. The Orange is one of just four teams in the ACC without a Power-Five win this season, but I’m buying Babers’ belief that SU will improve over the second half of the season for at least for one more week”

CBS Sports’ 1-130 Syracuse holds at 55th this week between the Lousiana Ragin’ Cajuns and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. CBS has N.C. State 64th this week.

The Athletic dropped the Orange two spots down to 61st in their Top 130 Power Rankings keeping them in between the BYU Cougars and Nebraska Cornhuskers. N.C. State is ranked 70th this week.
