#FakeNunes previews Syracuse vs. Florida State

Gettin’ sassy in Tallahassee

NCAA Football: Florida State at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

That’s right, baby. It’s your boys (#FakeNunes) and we’re back to bring you the only weekly preview you didn’t know you needed, but actually do need because without it you wouldn’t be ready for a Syracuse Orange gameday.... or something like that.

Opponent: Florida State Seminoles

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Students: 41,717

The 2019 Fake Nunes Statistical Index (#FNSI)

Once again we bring you categories that no other preview will give you because that’s what we do best.

Uniforms:

Syracuse likes to go white on the road and with an afternoon game scheduled, the guess here is a slight variation of the look below with the white helmet, white jersey and orange pants.

FSU’s home uniforms have one of those weird Nike number fonts detracting from what is otherwise a very strong look. Now watch them decide to wear all black just because.

Advantage: Florida State gets the nod for staying (mostly) true to a classic look.

Strength & Conditioning Coach Last Man Standing Match:

Something new for this year is to compare the two S&C coaches and tell you which one would win a Last Man Standing match. This week it’s Sean Edinger against Irele Oderinde who has been with Taggart for a while following him from USF to Oregon and now FSU.

Advantage: Easy win for Edinger because he’s not defending his training methods in lawsuits

Football Program Hashtag:

#OITNF vs #DoSomething

At this point we’re willing to offer reduced consultant fees for any college program that wants hashtag advice. I mean you don’t have to suffer with these, we can help. Let us help you!

Advantage: Push

Pop Culture Alum: Each week we’ll compare alums who are relevant in pop culture

Bert Kreischer vs Clifton Britt

We’ve got two top party schools facing off so let’s go with two alums who are big in their respective entertainment fields. Kreischer’s six years as an undergrad at FSU where he became known as “The Machine” were the basis for the Van Wilder movie. Clifton Britt’s name might not be familiar to some of you but you’ve probably heard about some of his work.

Advantage: Syracuse. Secret time: you don’t need to tell us your favorite Clifton movie in the comments.

Overly Optimistic SU Fan Prediction from MrSUFootball

Look folks, you predict 10 wins correctly and you absolutely get to return for a second season. I mean can any of you prove that @MrSUFootball wasn’t the reason that Syracuse won 10 games last year.

While his Four Downs of Reasoning still remains on hiatus, MrSU Football sent us another video to get ready for this week’s game with this caption “Place at the Table!”

Disclaimer: Please do not go around head butting car windows. Feel free to call all your friends and yell “Place at the Table!!”...oh and don’t do steroids

The Official #FakeNunes Game Prediction:

After watching both defenses combine for twenty sacks in regulation, fans are treated to seven overtimes. The end comes when after another Kendall Coleman sack, FSU kicker Ricky Aguayo banks a 49 yard field goal off the crossbar and both uprights to give the Seminoles a 12-9 victory.
