The Syracuse Orange have released an updated depth chart for Week 9’s matchup with the Florida State Seminoles, and perhaps to everyone’s chagrin, there aren’t a ton of updates to report.

Following a postgame press conference where Dino Babers said “everybody’s job is in jeopardy,” it would be a little disconcerting to see select few changes on this week’s depth chart if not for how these things have typically worked for the last four years. Babers’s depth chart changes are typically a week or so behind what we see on the field, so we’ll have to wait ‘til Saturday to see if there are any further alterations — specifically around the beleaguered offensive line.
As for the actual changes:
The “OR” is gone for both Andre Cisco starting at free safety and Ifeatu Melifonwu starting at corner, which could be encouraging. Cisco wasn’t 100% against Pitt, but looked great when on the field. Antwan Cordy’s also been added as an “OR” at nickel with Allen Stritzinger. But that’s it.
Who would you like to see given a shot here, assuming they’re not limited by injury? McKinley Williams won’t be available, and TBD still on Sam Heckel. But certainly other guys that could get in the mix, especially on the offensive line.
