The Syracuse Orange will tip off conference play against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from the Joyce Center (Purcell Pavillion) momentarily. While it isn’t necessarily a ‘must-win’ for Syracuse, the Orange are in need of a win and so is Notre Dame.
Mike Brey’s squad opened ACC play with a loss earlier this week on the road at Virginia Tech. The Irish were without Rex Pflueger — who is done for the season with an ACL tear — and Nikola Djogo who came down with the flu(ger). Freshman Nate Laszewski bruised his knee, but he’s good to go for today.
Needless to say, Notre Dame is a bit banged up. Syracuse is a 2.5 point favorite on the road today with the over/under set at 135.5.
