Last Friday, the Syracuse Orange stopped a four-game losing streak in its orange/white/orange uniform set with a win over Western Michigan.
This weekend, they’ll attempt to stop another four-game slide — this time in the “classic” home uniform:

Syracuse will wear orange helmets, blue jerseys and orange pants — arguably the most recognizable and on-#BRAND combo the program has. Unfortunately, that hasn’t led to wins the last four times SU has worn these duds. Last time out was the ill-fated Middle Tennessee game. Before that, the Orange lost to USF (2016), Pitt (2015) and LSU (2015) wearing these.
Still, Syracuse has also won twice in this uniform set — Central Michigan and Rhode Island (both 2015).
SU is 9-21 in orange helmets (winning the most recent game last week). They’re also 4-12 in blue jerseys and 8-12 in orange pants. Given Wagner’s FCS status, it “should” mean we add to the win column on all of those elements.
Happy? Sad? Want to yell about how we should be wearing old 90s jerseys instead? The comments are your canvas.
