Obviously the only website you read is TNIAAM. But did you know other websites also exist? And they have opinions about our football team, too!
Each week, we’ll take a look at what those other college football media sites are saying about the Syracuse Orange.
Just in case you thought you were hallucinating, yes the Orange received votes in Top 25 polls. Elsewhere:
Syracuse jumps up 20 spots to 61st, right between the San Diego State Aztecs and Pittsburgh Panthers. The leap was the ninth-highest on the S&P list (it was a busy week). This week’s opponent the Connecticut Huskies are in the second-to-last spot at 129. Ouch.
The Orange also got recognition in Spencer Hall’s Top Whatever rankings.
Etc.? Syracuse? Boston College? The former beat Florida State 30-7, a score that doesn’t really represent how badly the Orangemen beat up on the Noles. The latter is leading the ACC in total yardage and points, winning shootouts with ease like it’s not Boston College.
Translation: The ACC is on something powerful right now. Don’t take it. The hallucinations are too much to take for the amateur-amateur pharmacology enthusiast.
Don’t love having to be lumped in with BC, but we’ll take it and at least acknowledge the fact that the (Screamin’) Eagles have looked pretty good against no one in particular plus Wake Forest.

Syracuse makes another three-spot climb this week after the FSU win, and currently sits above three Atlantic Division teams (Wake at 8th, Louisville at 11th and the ‘Noles down at No. 13). Not much was said about the Orange’s standing, though it was noted that SU largely pulled off the win with Tommy DeVito at the helm.
Syracuse.com’s Chris Carlson also has the Orange 7th this week up two spots from last week. Carlson’s still using caution regarding Syracuse’s chances moving forward, but no one’s complaining about the 3-0 start.
CBS Sports’ 1-130 has the Orange jumping up 20 spots to 37th in between the Texas Longhorns and Kentucky Wildcats.
The Athletic moved SU up from 60th to 38th in their own 1-130 college football rankings. Florida State might be down this year but the impressive Orange victory was certainly noticed. Syracuse was one of the big (positive) movers on the weekend.
