NCAA Football: Wagner at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Obviously the only website you read is TNIAAM. But did you know other websites also exist? And they have opinions about our football team, too!

Each week, we’ll take a look at what those other college football media sites are saying about the Syracuse Orange.

S&P Rankings: SBNation.com

Syracuse drops 14 spots to 81st right between the Oregon State Beavers and Akron Zips. This week’s opponent the Florida State Seminoles are in the 71st spot. The S&P’s movements aren’t always linear, as the rankings gradually take the previous year’s data out — so it’s not just adding the last week’s numbers and proceeding.

ACC Power Rankings: ESPN

ESPN moves the Orange up three spots to 10th after the win over Wagner even if it seems to be somewhat reluctantly.

10. Syracuse Orange (2-0) They’ve yet to play a quality opponent, but 2-0 is still 2-0 and with Florida State reeling, the Orange see a real chance to get halfway to bowl eligibility next week. Oh, and Eric Dungey is putting up numbers that could land him in the Heisman conversation.

Syracuse.com’s Chris Carlson bumps the Orange up one spot to 9th in his rankings. Based upon his reasoning, I think it’s fair to say Carlson’s squarely in the “Rational Optimism” camp right now.

CBS Sports hasn’t updated their 1-130 rankings just yet, but the Orange sit in 75th right now as a holdover from last week.

Despite Syracuse’s big win over the weekend, The Athletic moved SU down from 58th to 60th in their own 1-130 college football rankings. The source of the slight downshift? Colorado jumping from 60th to 27th after upsetting Nebraska, and USF’s move from 65th to 36th following a win over Georgia Tech down in Tampa.
