The Syracuse Orange are loaded with talent for the 2018-19 campaign, but that doesn’t mean the program can just forget about their future. As the Orange gear up for high expectations, younger Syracuse recruits that are still on the market continue to work towards a decision regarding where they will be playing their collegiate basketball.
This past weekend, class of 2020 prospect Symir Torrence received an offer from the Orange. Torrence is a Syracuse native who runs the point guard position at 6-foot-3. He was on campus this past weekend as a participant in Syracuse’s Elite Camp.

Given his size, Torrence would fit the zone nicely while also being able to use his versatility to get to the basket. The Orange aren’t the only program who have their eyes set on the point guard, as Torrence has also received offers from Virginia, Washington, Butler, Vanderbilt, and Marquette.
Syracuse also extended an offer to power forward prospect Noah Collier, a Norristown, Pa, recruit in the 2020 class. Collier is a gifted big who is able to defend, rebound, and also finish at the rim. The 6-foot-7 forward has also received offers from George Washington, Saint Joseph’s, Seton Hall and Temple.
Lastly, SU also heard news about Isaiah Stewart. this weekend The top-10 recruit in the 2019 class included Syracuse among his final six teams, which also included Duke, Michigan State, Villanova, Indiana, and Washington (yeah, that’s an impressive list).
At 6-foot-9, 245-pounds, Stewart is a physical specimen who can impact any team immediately. If coach Jim Boeheim can Stewart up with current Orange commit Brycen Goodine (and maybe fellow top ‘19 target Joe Girard too), that makes for quite the class and a reloaded Syracuse roster after next summer’s likely departures.
