Name: Ravian Pierce
Position: Tight end
Year: Senior
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 244
Hometown: Plantation, Fla.
High School: Plantation
2017 stats: He caught 29 balls for 263 yards and four touchdowns. He played well against Pittsburgh and Clemson in consecutive weeks but really fell off near the end of the season, only catching six balls in the last four games.
2018 projections: He could either be Syracuse’s top receiving threat or be inconsistent while getting pulled into blocking too much. Without Ishmael and Phillips, a volume receiver is needed and Pierce could be that guy. I’ll say he has 60 catches for 700 or so yards and eight scores.
How’d he get here?: He played his first two years at Southwest Mississippi CC before transferring to Syracuse last year. He was ranked as the 30th overall prospect in Scout.com’s Junior College Top 100 for 2017.
What’d recruiting sites say?: ESPN and 247sports said four stars, while Scout and Rivals said three.
Twitterfeed: @thereal6_rp
Tweets of wonder: Is that a grill in his mouth? That’s it. He’s all-ACC.

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: The 2014 spy thriller, The November Man, stars Pierce Brosnan. The movie follows a CIA agent in Europe as he tries to track down some Russians. It’s just okay.
Interesting nugget o’interest: HE appeared on the Netflix show, Last Chance U, as Southeast Mississippi CC played against Pierce and Southwest Mississippi CC.
Let’s get a good look at ya: Here are his highlights from 2017.
