Name: Ed Hendrix
Position: Wide Receiver
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 195
Hometown: Washington D.C.
High School: H.D. Woodson
2017 Stats: As a senior at H.D. Woodson, he caught 27 passes for 585 yards (21.7 avg) and 14 touchdowns while leading the team as a captain.
2018 Projections: Hendrix comes in as the most talented freshman wideout, and should spend camp competing for snaps. I’d bet if he impresses in camp, Hendrix gets early looks and if he can hold his own, gets into the rotation for the ACC. But a redshirt season wouldn’t be the end of the world, as the Syracuse Orange has SO MANY bodies competing for snaps right now.
How Did He Get Here?: Hendrix got lots of offers, including ones from ACC rivals Boston College, Pitt, Louisville and N.C. State. He also got scholarship offers from Michigan State and Wisconsin before choosing the Orange.
What Did Recruiting Sites Say?: Four stars from ESPN with three from everyone else. ESPN ranked him as the 4th best recruit in the D.C. area.
Money Quote: What’s love got to do with it? (a lot, apparently)
“It’s been a long recruitment but Cuse showed me the most love and I know I will fit very well in their system.”

Tweets of Wonder: Some early camp highlights: —
Drive 2 was 2v2 (I think) with Welch at QB. Queeley, Cam Jordan and Ed Hendrix were the receivers. Tyrell Richards, Ryan Guthrie at LB. Ends with Jordan beating Ifeatu Melifonwu on an inside release for an easy pitch and catch TD. pic.twitter.com/IJnOzPaSKC

What Movie Would Dino Recommend for Him?: Let’s watch Andre 3000 play one of the best musicians in history in Jimi: All is by My Side (2013).
Interesting Nugget O’Interest: Hendrix went to the same high school as Syracuse JUCO transfer corner DuWayne Johnson.
Let’s Get a Good Look Atcha: HIGH. LIGHTS.
