Qadir White enrolls at Syracuse, and you can stop worrying now

After a summer of potential concern from fans, the four-star offensive tackle will be with SU for preseason camp.

NCAA Football: Louisville at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

In recent years, Syracuse Orange football fans have gotten increasingly nervous about four-star recruits and their respective abilities to get on campus.

While we were happy to see Syracuse targeting players of that caliber and getting subsequent commitments, we’ve also been burned frequently under previous regimes. However, Dino Babers may be turning that narrative around. One of our biggest concerns of the offseason — four-star offensive tackle Qadir White enrolling — is over. White has enrolled and will participate in preseason camp.

Depending on which recruiting service you ask, the Orange managed a few four-stars this time around: White, Trill Williams and Ed Hendrix. All are now enrolled, with some potentially in the mix for playing time this season — Williams, most notably, at cornerback.

So while it was a stressful wait to see if White would arrive, we can all quit worrying now. And hopefully that becomes the norm for fans as recruiting continues to improve.
